THE FALL 'Code: Selfish' LP

$62.00

The Fall’s fourteenth studio album, 1992’s ‘Code: Selfish’, heralded a harder, techno/ even Manchester?! - influenced sound being introduced to the post-punk institution’s template. An interesting listen at first, ‘Code: Selfish’ reaps rewards quickly, with the album’s solitary single ‘Free Range’ standing as the only Fall original to make the UK Top Forty. However, it marked the end of Mark E Smith’s brief flirtation with the major label world, with Fontana dropping The Fall soon afterwards. Think classic Fall avant-punk dusted with Happy Mondays / New Order flavouring! Highly recommended.
