SAMIAM 'Trips' LP

$20.00

2011 album from highly influential Californian indie/ punk rockers SAMIAM! Produced and recorded on two-inch tape by Chris Dugan (Green Day, U2, Iggy Pop) at Green Day's personal studio Jingletown in San Francisco, CA and mixed by Alex Newport (At The Drive-In, Deathcab For Cutie, Knapsack) in New York City, 'Trips' is SAMIAM's eighth studio album and first in over 5 years.

With the release of ‘Trips’, SAMIAM has returned to their signature sound reminiscent of fan favorite albums ‘Clumsy’ and ‘Astray’. Kicking off with the in-your-face track “80 West”, jam packed with heart-pounding drums and screaming guitars, SAMIAM have picked up right where they left off without missing a stride.

SAMIAM formed way back in 1988, breaking out of the Berkeley music scene with peers Green Day and Jawbreaker. They released seven full-length albums – three on New Red Archives, two on Hopeless Records and two major label releases (the critically-acclaimed Clumsy on Atlantic and You Are Freaking Me Out on Ignition/Tommy Boy) between 1989 and 2006. Samiam have toured extensively throughout North America, Europe, South America, Japan and Australia with bands such as Bad Religion, Green Day, Blink-182, Sense Field, among many others.
