OUR CARLSON feels like Cafe Del Mar meets Toecutter blasting from the back of a VL Commodore in the carpark of Highpoint Shopping Centre circa 2000.  The breakthrough single, Kickon, transports the listener to the bathroom mirror where a HOT / NOT HOT reflection resides. Walking the tightrope between prescription and non-prescription drugs, where tricks of the light catch the eye for better or worse. It is a disarming, devastating and delightful portrait of being vulnerable at a Kickon, while flirting the fine line between ego and intimacy.  After being diagnosed with epilepsy at age 33, Our Carlson’s frustration with the medical system and the fragility of the human mind has exploded into the most exciting, and upsetting, ambient breaks of 2020 on the forthcoming album “A Bit Much”.  Kickon was lovingly recorded and mixed by Pat Telfer and mastered by John Lee at Phaedra Studios on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Beats by Izzy Stabs were created on the lands of the Pintupi-Luritja people of the Western Desert and the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
