FEEDTIME 'feedtime' LP
$45.00
Hailing from Sydney, Australia, and originally self-released in 1985, feedtime (always a small-case 'f', thanks)'s debut LP ranks as one of the great underground rock recordings from Down Undah EVER! Inspired by everything from 1930s Delta blues to Louisiana swamp-pop to the tough Oz sounds of X and Rose Tattoo to the atonal post-punk of Flipper and PiL, Rick, Tom and Al made a truly unique combo of grimy rock & roll. Hailed by local tastemakers like B Side magazine and then reissued by the legendary Aberrant label, the release was subsequently praised by Jimmy Johnson in the influential Forced Exposure magazine as ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER RELEASED. Amen!
The band soon signed to the US wing of Rough Trade, released a series of brilliant discs and things unwound. In 2012, the Sub Pop label unleashed the feedtime Aberrant Years box set, though the debut has not been available as a stand-alone LP since the 1980s.
Sorcerer is thrilled to be reissuing this with the cooperation of the band and Aberrant, remastered by Mikey Young from the Sub Pop tapes and featuring new liner notes by Leon O'Regan (world's leading feedtime boffin and co-producer of this edition). Hey, I haven't even mentioned its huge influence on the Seattle scene of the late '80s!
