The debut LP from this killer Melbourne three-piece is something to wrap your earholes around. On bass is actually Hannah Mawson, sister to the unstoppable Arron Mawson of Stiff Richards/ Split System (Legless Records), but she and the band really run their own race here. Their sound is a kind of moody, psychedelic surf music peppered with personal lyrics. There's a spiky twang not unlike Khruangbin, but the approach is harsher - more PJ Harvey, less cafe music - and dripping with inventive and lysergic riffs throughout. Seriously great!
